Your Colours

your-colours

I love your palette of colours,
the way you sweep into a room
in a playful sunflower yellow
and talk in gentle waves of blue,
the deep burnt sienna of your eyes
warms and cheers the coolest of
greens; seen by you lifts spirit
upwards, with the good humour
of satsuma orange; but it’s from
those mysterious wells of violet,
where you have suffered and lost,
that your depth of understanding
has blossomed into a beautiful rose.

  1. Hello, I have a request for you! Would it be possible to publish this beautiful poem of yours in the next issue of an online literary magazine of mine?

Currently it has thirteen issues (one new one every two months). There are no printed copies or any payment involved for myself or the writers – it’s a free magazine for anyone to read. The aim is to help promote writers on websites and blogs from all over the internet. https://thewritinggarden.wordpress.com/

Copyright remains with the writer and I always include a link back to where the work was originally published and also any social media or other links you may wish to include (please let me know which ones – if you have any).

If you would be interested in allowing me to publish your work please check out the magazine and let me know. But if you’d rather not, don’t hesitate to say no, I really won’t mind.
