This Week

Since arriving in Yorkshire last weekend I’ve taken quite a lot of photos and would like to share some of my favourites…

This is the amazing view from my bedroom window… it is a part of the Calder Valley, below is Hebden Bridge and the church opposite is in Heptonstall where Sylvia Plath was laid to rest…

Heptonstall

Only a 10 minute walk out of Hebden Bridge is Mytholmroyd (where Ted Hughes was born) and this is the location of my sisters favourite tree… I’ve taken photos of it before but on Monday I took a few more and made a blog post called ‘Nudity’ with this one…

My sister… I’ve used this image previously for a post called ‘Because of You’ which is a great Dexys song… yeah, she really does love this tree…

Across to Bingley and a stroll along the canal…

Later I crossed the border into Lancashire when I went to see my Arts & Crafts friend. On the way I passed through Todmorden… ‘Kindness’ is at Morrison’s supermarket…

After leaving Todmorden there is a drive over high moorland before dipping down into Lancashire. The moors are covered in pylons and wind turbines. Halfway across there were roadworks traffic lights… I grabbed my phone and took this next shot…

Then I met my friend…
